We offer phlebotomy clinics 4 mornings a week. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Appointments are available between 0800hrs – 1400hrs. You can book your appointment online once the practice team send you a self book link via your mobile phone or via the reception team.
Since October 1, 2018, blood tests, requested by us, for you, have been carried out by our own practice.
By providing the service in-house, we hope this change has helped us to improve our services to you by improving your access to our services and making it easier to make appointments at a more convenient time.
This change has also helped the local NHS streamline its community phlebotomy services across the area, so that all GP practices offer this service in the same way.
There has been no change for patients who have their blood taken at home as part of our domiciliary service.
Our staff will advise you of the booking process when we ask you to have a blood test.
Portsmouth Hospital Trust (PHT) will continue to take your bloods at Queen Alexandra Hospital if the request is as a result of an appointment you have had at the hospital or part of the care you are under at the hospital. The hospital staff will be able to tell you the opening hours of the various sites.
