eConsults will only be available between 0700hrs and 1300hrs Monday to Friday.
eConsult - The Portchester Practice
If you would like to discuss a non urgent/routine problem or need further help or advice about a pre-existing condition please use the eConsult form. We will get back to you within 2 working days.
For urgent problems that cannot wait for 2 working days for a response please call the Surgery. We run a 'telephone triage' system for urgent/acute problems. You will receive a telephone call from one of the duty clinicians on the day to assess your problem.
Both eConsult and our telephone triage will result in one of the following:
- Administrative help;
- Advice alone or treatment over the telephone or via text (a prescription may be issued if your condition doesn’t require you to see a doctor);
- A telephone or face to face appointment at the surgery at an appropriate time interval from a member of our team (GP, nurse, pharmacist, social prescriber or MSK first contact physio) or;
- A consultation (telephone/video or face to face) from our extended access service (IPCAS) or;
- A home visit: a home visit by one of our GP’s or clinician (paramedic or nurse) from our home visiting service.
